Founded in 1985 by Freda and Jack Beckett, Hawksbury House is a small, family run care home offering social care and social care for elderly people with dementia.
Freda was a District Nurse and had a vision that people should be looked after with the care and respect they deserve.
In 1991 their daughter Jackie Murray took over as manager of Hawksbury House.
Jackie is now both manager and owner of Hawksbury House and is an RGN, Diploma Nurse, with a Registered Manager’s Award.

The Care Quality Commission last inspected Hawksbury House on 31st July 2012 for the following:
- Standards of treating people with respect and involving them in their care
- Standards of providing care, treatment & support which meets people’s needs
