Gill has worked at Hawksbury House for over 15 years.  As Assistant Deputy Manager, it is Gill’s role to ensure all residents are given the best possible individual care. Gill has an NVQ 2 and 3, an Assessors Award and is a facilitator in Dementia Care.

What is my role?

Hawksbury House is a very warm, friendly and happy Care Home.   I have worked here for 15 years and it is a very welcoming home for residents, their friends and their family.

It is my role  to ensure all of our residents are given the best possible individual care.

What is special about Hawksbury House?

I thoroughly enjoy my role as it gives me the opportunity to meet a number of people, including professional bodies and families; all working together to give our residents the very best of care.

What’s the most important part of your job?

The most important part of my job is to direct staff and to give professional care; treating residents with respect and dignity. I enjoy looking after the residents properly and making them feel good about themselves.


Gill’s Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Care
Gill is a Dementia Care Trainer and an NVQ Assessor
Gill is up to date with all compulsory training for Moving and Handling, First Aid, Health and Safety, Infection control, Food Hygiene and safeguarding of adults who are at risk
